What to Expect
POINT OF SAIL
Learn the points of sail while on the water in relationship to the wind direction.
RIGGING & DERIGGING
Get assistance rigging and learn sail terminology, how lines and sheets operate, and more.
PARTS OF THE BOAT
Start to enhance your sailing vocabulary so you can hang with the sailing crowd!
SAIL TRIMMING
On the water and on-land drills to understand basic sail trimming concepts.
Reservation and Cancellation Policies
Reservations are accepted at least 48 hours in advance and booked on a first come, first served basis. In order to confirm your reservation, we must send you a confirmation email or call. Cancellations are accepted up to 24 hours in advance of your reservation, after 24 hours you will not receive a refund.
Beaufort Community Sailing and Boating reserves the right to cancel any program (at no charge to the guest) for weather, safety, or other concerns that may affect trip quality and guest satisfaction.
What do I bring? Checklist:
Arrive 15 mins prior to the sail for a safety orientation and to sign our pre-departure checklist and waivers.
Please wear closed toed shoes, clothes you can move around in, and bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
We have life jackets available on board.
Bring your own snacks and beverages – we do permit alcohol on board the Catalina, but require that all passengers maintain a standard of behavior that ensures the safety of all on board.
