Beaufort Community Sailing and Boating
Beaufort Community Sailing and Boating's Learn to Sail Summer Camps teach sailing to kids from ages 8 and up. There are many levels of classes to pick from, to accommodate sailors of all experience levels, from beginners through advanced sailors. There is also a successful and competitive Race Team for kids who want to sail in regattas on a national level. All of the summer programs focus on sailing, but also provide other kinds of waterfront fun like stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming, and camp games and entertainment.
Learn to Sail Camp sessions are hosted at Beaufort Yacht and Sailing Club on Lady's Island in Beaufort, South Carolina. They run Monday - Friday, from 9 am to 4 pm, with an "Extended Day" option allowing drop off as early as 8:00 AM and pick up as late as 5:30 PM.
See the class page to determine the level and program that fits your sailor and to see class times.

Beaufort Community Sailing and Boating’s mission is simple; promote and enable boating in our local community. Beaufort Community Boating and Sailing is a nonprofit, relying on donations from the local community, grants, sponsors, and volunteers.
Our Expanding Pursuit:
Beaufort Community Sailing and Boating, also known as Junior Sailing of Beaufort, remains focused on providing sailing lessons and opportunities to our younger community members, but has increased our offerings to include educating local youth and adults in all forms of boating and providing opportunities for advanced boating pursuits.
Beaufort Community Sailing and Boating sponsors the Beaufort High School and Beaufort Academy high school sailing teams, the Beaufort location of Spirit of America, the summer Learn to Sail camp for juniors, and the adult Learn to Sail program.
Beaufort Community Sailing and Boating owns several fleets of sailboats including 420’s, Optis, Lasers, O’Pen BICs, and Sunfish, as well as 4 coaching and support powerboats and a keelboat. These boats are used in the summer Learn to Sail program and educational programs throughout the year. To encourage our Learn to Sail campers to continue sailing, Beaufort Community Sailing and Boating lends boats to graduates for the BYSC spring and fall series and BYSC regattas free of charge.
The Spirit of America program includes its own self-contained fleet of power boats, sail boats, kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards that encompass the different aspects of this unique program.
