Advanced Level 4
Advanced Level 4
Level 4 uses 420s to introduce the sailors to both the spinnaker and trapeze, both advanced (and fun) sailing skills. Using the same boat used in College level sailing in the USA, students will become well rounded and advanced sailors. Level 4 requires a competent sailor who can manage a boat with little instruction from an instructor, hence Level 3 is required for entry, allowing instruction to focus on the finer details of the sport.
Introductory knowledge to racing is also covered, as well as basic fitness training. A maximum of 10 students per class, requires at least two sessions to complete.
In order to use a Junior Sailing 420 at a regatta a student must complete this level.
Two-week sessions (M-F, 9 a.m – 4 p.m):
Level 4.A: June 13 – June 23
Level 4.B: June 27 – July 8 (No Classes July 4th)
$450.00 per session*
(lunch to be provided by parents and is supervised by instructors)
*Subtract $100 per session per child for BYSC members.
