Junior Sailing of Beaufort's Summer Learn to Sail Camps teach sailing to kids from ages 8 and up. There are many levels of classes to pick from, to accommodate sailors of all experience levels, from beginners through advanced sailors. There is also a successful and competitive Race Team for kids who want to sail in regattas on a national level. All of the summer programs focus on sailing, but also provide other kinds of waterfront fun like stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming, and camp games and entertainment.
Learn to Sail Camp sessions are hosted at Beaufort Yacht and Sailing Club on Lady's Island in Beaufort, South Carolina. They run Monday - Friday, from 9 am to 4 pm, with an "Extended Day" option allowing drop off as early as 8:00 AM and pick up as late as 5:30 PM.Discover Sailing program for the Beaufort Yacht and Sailing Summer Camp.
About us: Junior Sailing’s mission is simple; promote and enable sailing in our local community. JSB owns several fleets of sailboats including 420’s, Optis, Lasers, O’Pen BICs, and Sunfish as well as 4 coaching and support powerboats. The JSB boats are used in the summer Learn to Sail program which is run every summer by JSB out of BYSC. JSB sponsors the Beaufort High School and Beaufort Academy high school sailing teams, the Marine S.A.I.L.S. program and the adult Learn to Sail program. JSB also makes its boats available for charter for the BYSC spring and fall series and BYSC regattas. JSB is a nonprofit and to make all this happen we rely on donations from the local community.
